About the Class of 2009
On Friday, October 23, 2009 the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame will honor four new inductees: Mr. Chip Beck, former PGA Tour member and WGA benefactor; Mr. Carl Hopphan, long-time Chicago-area golf course superintendent; Mr. Frank Jemsek, owner of Cog Hill Golf & C.C. and renowned public golf patriarch; and Mr. Steve Lesnik, Chairman of the Board for KemperSports Management. Each inductee will be recognized for their achievements and the significant impact they have had on the game of golf in Illinois.
The 2009 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at The Glen Club in Glenview, Ill., home of the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. The ceremony gets underway at 5:00 p.m. with the cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception in the Hall of Fame exhibit area then at 6:00 p.m. the induction ceremony will begin with speeches and tribute videos.
Tickets for this special event are $75 each and can be purchased online here. Proceeds benefit the Illinois PGA Foundation and the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. A portion of each ticket purchase is tax deductible.
